The Fjord

Rocks, self-vegetation, houses castled togheter, the roar of the sea against the reefs, the deep colour of the sea make the Fjord an exceptional natural event in the Amalfi Coast.In the Fjord one can see a natural scene extremely suggestive.



Here Nature and Men have construited, in many years, more expressive situations. One can see the Borgo (a very small village of fishermen) with its monazzeni (warehouses for fishing tools). Furthermore there are an ancient paper factory and a mill. All these structures are, now, organized in a Ecomuseo in which are collected many work tools of the ancient inhabitans of Furore.
